Privacy Policy

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Dhanda & Co. (“we”, “us”, “our”), operating the Jaya Accounting website at https://jayaaccounting.com (the “Site”), collects, uses, and protects personal information. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit the “Book a call” form or otherwise contact us, we collect the details you provide — your name, business name, email address, phone number (optional), business type, accounting software, the state of your books, the services you’re interested in, your availability, and anything else you choose to tell us.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting and infrastructure providers may log standard technical data — such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit — to keep the Site secure and running. The Site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

2. How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry and schedule a call;
  • To provide, and follow up about, the bookkeeping services you ask about;
  • To operate, secure, and improve the Site;
  • To meet our legal, regulatory, and professional obligations.

We use your information only for the purposes for which it was provided, or for purposes permitted or required by law.

3. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the Site and communicate with you (for example, our website host, our form and automation provider, and our email provider), who may use it only to provide services to us;
  • Professional advisors, or authorities, where required or permitted by law.

Some providers may store or process data outside British Columbia or Canada. Where that happens, the information may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.

4. How we protect your information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, or as required by law, after which we securely delete or anonymize it.

6. Your rights

Under PIPEDA and BC PIPA, you may:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you and request access to it;
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • Withdraw your consent to our use of your information, subject to legal or contractual limits.

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before we act on it.

7. Cookies

The Site uses only the minimal cookies or local storage needed to function. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

8. Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party websites (for example, accounting software). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their policies separately.

9. Children

The Site is intended for business owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed, and material changes will be posted on this page.
